Assigning a Hot Lead to a Campaign in 11x
Overview
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for assigning a hot lead to a campaign in 11x. By following these steps, you will be able to move an engaged lead from the Hot Leads list into a specific campaign, ensuring your outreach efforts are organized and actionable.
Expected Outcome:
- A selected hot lead is successfully assigned to the desired campaign, with confirmation visible in the lead’s details panel.
Estimated Time to Complete: 2–5 minutes
Prerequisites
- You must have permission to assign leads to campaigns.
- At least one engaged hot lead should be available in the Hot Leads list.
- The target campaign must exist (it can be paused or active).
Step-by-Step Instructions
-
Navigate to the Campaigns Dashboard
- From the main menu, locate and click “Campaigns” in the left-hand sidebar. This opens the Campaigns dashboard.

-
Go to the Hot Leads Page
- In the left-hand sidebar, click “Hot Leads”. This will open the Hot Leads page, displaying a list of engaged leads under the Contacts tab (selected by default).

- Tip: If you see the message “No engaged leads yet.”, ensure your campaigns are sourcing and engaging leads before proceeding.
-
Select the Hot Lead to Assign
- In the Contacts table, locate the hot lead you want to assign. Click anywhere on the row for that lead (e.g., in this example, “Julie Savino”).

- This opens the lead details side panel on the right.
-
Assign the Lead to a Campaign
- In the lead details side panel, click the “Assign to Campaign” button (plus icon).

-
Choose the Target Campaign
- In the “Add to Campaign” dialog, scroll or use the search field to find the campaign you want to assign the lead to. Click the campaign name (e.g., “Sherwood CSV test” in this example).

- Note: Campaigns may appear as “PAUSED” or “ACTIVE”. You can assign leads to paused campaigns if needed.
- If the desired campaign is not listed, verify it exists and is not archived. Check your permissions if you cannot see it.
-
Confirm the Assignment
- After selecting the campaign, click the “Add to [campaign name]” button at the bottom of the dialog (e.g., “Add to Sherwood CSV test”).

-
Verify the Assignment
- The lead details side panel will update. Look for a “View in Campaign” button, which confirms the lead has been assigned to the selected campaign.

- Optional: Refresh the page to ensure the assignment appears consistently in both the lead details and the target campaign.
Troubleshooting
-
No Engaged Leads Displayed:
- If you see “No engaged leads yet.”, ensure your campaigns are actively sourcing and engaging leads. Return to this page after leads have been engaged.
-
Campaign Not Listed:
- If the campaign you want is not visible in the dropdown, verify the campaign is active (not archived) and that you have the necessary permissions. If issues persist, contact your administrator.
-
Assignment Not Reflected:
- If the assignment does not appear after confirming, try refreshing the page. If the issue continues, note any error messages and contact support.
-
Error Messages:
- Pay attention to any error or warning messages during the process. Follow the suggested actions or contact support if you cannot resolve the issue.
Success Criteria
- The selected hot lead displays a “View in Campaign” button in the lead details panel, confirming successful assignment.
- The lead now appears in the target campaign’s list of assigned leads.
By following these steps, you can efficiently assign hot leads to campaigns and keep your outreach efforts organized and actionable.
