Creating a New Campaign Using Live Web Search in 11x

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for creating a new campaign using the Live Web Search feature in 11x. By following these steps, you will be able to define a target audience, run a real-time web search for leads, and review matched contacts before proceeding to campaign configuration.

Prerequisites

  • You must have permission to create campaigns in 11x.
  • Ensure you have a clear description of your target audience (e.g., job title and location).

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Campaigns Dashboard

    • From the main menu, click Campaigns to open the campaigns dashboard.
    • Click the Create Campaign button in the upper-right corner.

  2. Select a Campaign Template

    • In the SELECT PLAY modal, choose Cold outbound. This template is recommended for engaging new prospects with personalized cold outreach.

  3. Choose Audience Source

    • In the SELECT AUDIENCE SOURCE modal, select Find new leads. This enables the Live Web Search functionality.

    • Click Continue to proceed.

  4. Access the Live Web Search Tab

    • In the campaign creation interface, ensure you are on the Audience step.
    • Click the Live Web Search tab at the top of the audience filters section.

  5. Describe Your Audience

    • Click inside the input field labeled “Describe your audience, e.g. Sales Leaders in California”.
    • Type a clear, specific description of your target audience (e.g., “Sales Leaders in California”).

  6. Start the Live Web Search

    • Click the arrow (submit) button to the right of the input field to begin the search.

  7. Wait for Search Results

    • The system will display status messages such as “Reviewing Companies…” and show progress indicators (e.g., number of profiles analyzed, preview contacts found, estimated time).

    • Wait for the search to complete. This may take a few moments depending on your criteria.

    • Tip: More targeted or complex searches may take longer to process.

  8. Review Preview Contacts

    • Once the search is complete, preview contacts matching your criteria will appear on the right side of the screen.
    • Each contact will display their name, title, and an “Audience Criteria Matched” indicator.
    • In this example, 10 preview contacts were found for “Sales Leaders in California”. Example contacts include:
      • Saul Flores – Sales Leader at Paychex
      • Chet Hower – Selling District Sales Manager at Paychex
      • Jeremy Lim – Sales Director at Presidio
      • Martin Valencia – Senior Sales Consultant at GourmetPro
      • Manuel Llamas – Regional Sales Manager at Spectrum Business
    • The system also shows the percentage of profiles matching each criterion (e.g., 59% match for sales leadership position, 68% match for California location).

    • Optional:
      • Click Advanced filters to further refine your search results.
      • Click an Audience Example card to load a pre-built audience template.
      • Edit your audience description and re-submit to refresh results.
  9. Proceed to Campaign Configuration

    • After reviewing the preview contacts, click Next in the upper-right corner to continue to the campaign configuration step.

Troubleshooting

  • No Contacts Found:

    • Try broadening your audience description or removing overly restrictive criteria.
    • Use the Advanced filters to adjust search parameters.
  • Search Takes Too Long:

    • More specific or complex searches may require additional time. If the search does not complete, try simplifying your criteria.
  • Unexpected Results:

    • Review the matching criteria percentages to understand how well the results fit your description.
    • Edit your audience description for greater clarity or specificity.
  • Error Messages:

    • If you encounter system errors or warnings, refresh the page and try again. If issues persist, contact your system administrator or support team.

Success Criteria and Verification

  • You have successfully created a new campaign with a preview list of leads matching your specified audience.
  • The Next button is available, allowing you to proceed to further campaign configuration.
  • Preview contacts are displayed with clear matching indicators and relevant details.
