Creating a New Folder in Campaigns

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for creating a new folder in the Campaigns section. By following these steps, you will be able to organize your campaigns into folders for better management and visibility. The process includes naming your folder, optionally adding a description, and verifying that the folder appears in your list.

Prerequisites

  • You must have access to the Campaigns dashboard.
  • Ensure the “Folders” panel is visible at the top of the Campaigns dashboard.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Campaigns Dashboard

    • From the main navigation menu, click on Campaigns in the left-hand sidebar.
    • Confirm that the “Folders” panel is visible at the top of the dashboard.

  2. Open the Create New Folder Modal

    • Click the + Create New Folder button located in the Folders panel.
    • A modal window titled “Create New Folder” will appear.

  3. Enter Folder Details

    • In the New Folder text field, type a unique name for your folder (e.g., “My New Folder”).
    • (Optional) In the Description field, enter a brief description to help identify the folder’s purpose.

  4. Create the Folder

    • Click the Create button to finalize folder creation.
    • The modal will close, and you will return to the Campaigns dashboard.

  5. Verify Folder Creation

    • Look for your new folder in the Folders panel.
    • If you do not see it immediately, click the Show more folders link (e.g., “Show 20 more folders”) to expand the list.

    • Confirm that your newly created folder appears in the expanded list. It should display “0 campaigns” initially, indicating that it is empty.

Troubleshooting

  • Folder Not Visible:
    • Ensure you have clicked the Show more folders link to expand the full list.
    • Refresh the page if the folder does not appear after creation.
  • Duplicate Folder Names:
    • If you receive an error about a duplicate name, choose a unique folder name.
  • Error Messages:
    • Follow any on-screen instructions if an error message appears during folder creation.

Success Criteria

  • The new folder appears in the Folders panel, displaying the name you entered and showing “0 campaigns”.
  • You can now use this folder to organize your campaigns as needed.
